My favorite “Good bye” in Dari/Farsi is “KHoda negahdar”, which means “God watches you”, in the sense “May the Lord never take his eyes off you”. BTW “Khoda” literally means “Himself”, which for those of you who knows Russian has an identical word in Russian “Сам”.
